Every service on ABS Vendor asks for the recipient's number, not yours. That means sending data to family, staff or customers works exactly like buying for yourself — you just type a different number.

How it works

  1. Pick the service and the network.
  2. Choose the plan.
  3. Enter the recipient's phone number.
  4. Confirm with your transaction PIN.

The recipient does not need an ABS Vendor account, does not need to be told anything in advance, and does not need to accept anything. The bundle simply lands on their line.

Check the network first

This is the mistake that costs people money. The plan must match the recipient's actual network — and after years of number portability in Nigeria, a prefix no longer tells you reliably who a number belongs to. An 0803 number may well be on a different network today.

If you are not certain, ask them. Buying an MTN bundle for a line that has ported to Airtel will fail at best, and at worst deliver nothing useful.

Double-check the number

Data delivered to a wrong-but-valid number cannot be recalled. It went to a real person on a real line, and there is no mechanism to reverse it — not ours, not the network's.

Read the number back before confirming. If you send to the same people regularly, save them so you are selecting rather than typing.

Sending to many people at once

If you are topping up staff or a customer list, use the bulk option rather than repeating single purchases. It takes one list, runs them together, and gives you a single summary showing which succeeded.

Any that fail are refunded automatically, so a partial batch does not leave you chasing individual amounts.

Reselling to customers

Plenty of people run a small data business this way — buy at our rates, sell at yours, keep the difference. Agent accounts get better pricing, and if you want it automated rather than manual, our API lets you vend directly from your own website or app.

Either way, the flow is the same one described above. The only thing that changes is the volume.
