The Oraimo AirBuds 4 (model OTW-340) is a pair of true wireless earbuds priced at ₦23,900 on ng.oraimo.com as at 9 October 2026. Oraimo's headline claims are 36 hours of total playtime, ENC for calls, a smart LED battery display case, low-latency game mode and IPX4 sweat protection. This is a research-based review: ABS Vendor has not tested these earbuds. Everything below comes from Oraimo's own specifications and from verified buyer reviews on Oraimo's store.

Short answer for a Nigerian buyer: the AirBuds 4 are aimed at people who want long battery life, strong bass and a visible battery readout without paying premium money. The main thing to weigh up is call clarity, because that is where buyer feedback is most mixed.

Who the Oraimo AirBuds 4 are actually for

Based on the specifications, these earbuds suit a few clear types of buyer.

• Long-commute users. If you spend hours on danfo or in traffic and hate charging daily, the stated 7 hours per charge plus 31 hours in the case is the main selling point.
• Bass-first listeners. Oraimo specifies 6mm composite diaphragm drivers with HavyBass, and the oraimo Sound App lets you tune the sound to rock, jazz or boosted bass.
• People who lose track of battery. The case has an LED display showing case and earbud levels, adjusting by 1% and 10% respectively, so you can see remaining power without guessing.
• Casual gamers. There is a low-latency Game Mode for audio and video sync.
• Gym and street users. IPX4 water and sweat protection with a nano coating, though Oraimo states this applies to the earbuds only, not the charging case.

They are not aimed at anyone who needs active noise cancellation. Oraimo does not list ANC anywhere in the AirBuds 4 specifications, and one verified buyer specifically notes the lack of ANC during calls.

Sound, features and how the AirBuds 4 perform on paper

Oraimo describes the sound as deep, vibrant bass built around 6mm premium composite diaphragm drivers and its HavyBass technology. That is a bass-forward tuning rather than a neutral one, which fits the kind of music most Nigerian listeners play on the go. The oraimo Sound App gives you some control over that: rock, jazz or a bass boost preset.

Connectivity is Bluetooth 5.3 with a stated range of 10 metres, and Oraimo says the earbuds pair instantly when you open the case. For gaming, Game Mode is there to keep audio and video in sync, and Bluetooth 5.3 is the version Oraimo credits for that.

Calls use ENC rather than ANC. Oraimo specifies a built-in 2-mic beamforming array with an AI algorithm intended to fade background noise. Read that alongside the buyer feedback below, because ENC is the area where the AirBuds 4 get the most criticism.

Charging is over Type-C, and Oraimo claims AniFast smart fast charge gets you 90 minutes of play from a 10-minute top-up.

Battery and practical use in Nigeria

The numbers Oraimo publishes are up to 7 hours on a single charge and an additional 31 hours from the case, for up to 38 hours of combined playtime, based on oraimo Lab test results. Note that Oraimo's own short description says 36 hours while the feature copy says 38 hours; treat both as lab figures rather than a promise for your own volume levels.

In practice that gap matters less than it sounds. One verified buyer says they basically charge once a week, and another says a full charge takes under two hours. If your listening is a couple of hours a day, the case will carry you through a normal week.

This is genuinely useful in Nigeria, where power cuts and NEPA schedules mean charging windows are not always convenient. A 10-minute charge giving 90 minutes of play is the kind of buffer that helps when you are heading out and the light has just gone. The LED display also means you know before you leave the house whether the case needs topping up, instead of discovering a dead battery on the road.

For hot, humid Lagos conditions, the IPX4 rating covers splashes and sweat on the earbuds, so light rain and gym sessions are within spec. The charging case is not covered by that rating, so keep it dry.

Downsides and limits buyers should know

The honest limits, taken from the specifications and from what verified buyers report:

• No ANC. Oraimo does not state active noise cancellation for the AirBuds 4. You get ENC for calls, which is a different thing. A verified buyer lists the absence of ANC during calls as the one thing lacking.
• Microphone quality is the most common complaint. One buyer says their biggest issue is not being audible enough on phone calls. If you take a lot of calls for work, that is the risk to weigh.
• Battery figures are lab results. The 7-hour and 31-hour numbers come from oraimo Lab testing, and Oraimo's own copy quotes both 36 and 38 hours. Expect less at high volume or over long periods.
• IPX4 applies to the earbuds only. The charging case has no water protection, so it should not be exposed to rain or sweat.
• Comfort is not perfect for everyone. One buyer reports minimal discomfort after long use but some itchiness in the ears.
• Bluetooth range is stated at 10 metres. That is a normal figure, but it is not a whole-house range, so leaving your phone in one room and walking off will cut the connection.
• No noise isolation claim. Oraimo states no passive isolation figure, so do not assume these will block out generator noise or bus chatter. Only the call-side background noise is addressed, via ENC.

What verified buyers say

Oraimo's store shows a 4.8 out of 5 rating from 2,760 reviews. The verified buyer comments that stand out:

• Bass and battery praised together. One buyer calls the AirBuds 4 a super combination of bass and battery, and highlights the digital display case for showing both case and earbud levels at all times. The same buyer notes the only thing lacking is ANC during calls.
• Battery life and fast charging get repeat mentions. One buyer says they charge roughly once a week and that a full charge takes under two hours. Another says it charges fast and the battery lasts a really long time.
• Bass quality comes up again and again. One buyer describes the bass as awesome and the sound as great, while another says they love the good bass sound quality.
• Comfort is acceptable but not flawless. One buyer reports minimal discomfort after long use, with some itchiness in the ears.
• The clearest complaint is call audibility. One buyer says the microphone quality can be better and that they are not audible enough on phone calls. Another flags the missing ANC on calls.
• One practical note on the cable. A buyer mentions the included cable is long but is micro USB, and says they can still use it for game pads. Note that the earbuds themselves charge over Type-C.

Verdict

Buy the Oraimo AirBuds 4 if your priorities are long battery life, strong bass and a case that shows you exactly how much charge is left, and you mostly use earbuds for music, video and gaming rather than long work calls. At ₦23,900 they cover the basics well, and the once-a-week charging pattern buyers describe fits Nigerian power realities. They are also a sensible pick for gym and outdoor use given the IPX4 rating on the buds.

Skip them if clear two-way call quality is your main reason for buying, or if you need active noise cancellation. Buyer feedback on microphone audibility is mixed at best, and Oraimo does not list ANC for this model. If you take calls in noisy places all day, look at a model that advertises ANC instead. Frequently asked questions

Do the Oraimo AirBuds 4 have noise cancelling?

No. Oraimo lists ENC (environmental noise cancelling) for calls, using a 2-mic beamforming array and an AI algorithm, but it does not state ANC for the AirBuds 4. ENC works on your voice during calls, not on what you hear while listening to music.

How long do the Oraimo AirBuds 4 battery last?

Oraimo states up to 7 hours on a single charge, with the case providing an additional 31 hours, based on oraimo Lab test results. Oraimo's own copy quotes both 36 and 38 hours of total playtime, so treat these as lab figures. One verified buyer reports charging roughly once a week.

Are the Oraimo AirBuds 4 good for phone calls?

This is the weakest point in buyer feedback. One verified buyer says the microphone quality can be better and that they are not audible enough on calls. Oraimo specifies ENC with a 2-mic beamforming array, but if calls are your main use, test them or buy from a seller with a return policy.
