The Oraimo OpenSnap N (model OPN-372N) is a clip-on open-ear earbud set that sits on the outside of your ear rather than inside the canal. It is listed at ₦27,900 on ng.oraimo.com, a price we checked on 18 October 2026, and it holds a 4.7/5 rating from 992 reviews on Oraimo's own store.

This is a research-based review. ABS Vendor has not tested the OpenSnap N. Everything below comes from Oraimo's published specifications and feature copy, plus the two verified buyer reviews shown on the store — including the parts that are not flattering.

Who the OpenSnap N is for

The OpenSnap N suits people who dislike the plugged-up feeling of in-ear buds, or who need to stay aware of their surroundings. Because the earbuds clip on and rest outside the ear canal, they leave your ear open — useful if you cycle, walk busy roads, or need to hear a passenger, a customer or a conductor while listening.

  • Commuters and riders who want audio without blocking traffic noise.
  • People who find in-ear tips uncomfortable over long stretches, or whose ears get sore or sweaty in Lagos heat.
  • Workers on calls who want a mic with noise cancellation and the ability to switch between a phone and a laptop.
  • Gamers and video watchers who care about audio-video sync, since Oraimo advertises a low-latency game mode.

It is not the obvious pick if you want deep isolation on a noisy danfo, or if you want the longest possible battery between charges — more on both below.

Sound, calls and key features

Oraimo's copy promises "upgraded audio" and a game mode EQ built on Bluetooth 5.4, with a 10m range. The app lets you customise touch controls and sound — Oraimo specifically mentions boosting bass, clearing vocals and adjusting controls. Note that touch controls and sound effects are stated as available only when you are not on a call.

On calls, Oraimo claims advanced noise cancellation so your voice carries in noisy environments. That matters in Nigeria, where a call from a market, a bus park or a generator-side corridor is normal. Oraimo does not publish a microphone specification or a decibel figure, so treat the claim as the manufacturer's own.

  • Dual device connection: enabled through the oraimo sound app, with calls automatically prioritised. Practical if you pair a work phone and a personal phone, or a phone and a laptop.
  • Fit: each earbud is 4.7g, with a ø0.4mm memory steel wire and soft silicone. Oraimo says the clip-on design will not slip however you move.
  • Bluetooth 5.4 with a stated 10m range.

One verified buyer described the sound quality as "great" and the fit as "very comfortable". The other praised the design, said pairing with an iPhone was seamless and quick, and called the case about the size of an egg — small enough to palm.

Battery and everyday practicalities

Oraimo states up to 4 hours of playback per charge, with an additional 12 hours from the case — 16 hours in total. The case holds 300mAh and Oraimo says a fully charged case can recharge the earbuds about three times; each earbud holds 30mAh. Charging is roughly 1.5 hours for the earbuds and about 2 hours for the case. These are Oraimo Lab test results, so real-world figures will vary with volume and use.

Practically, that means a single session will not carry you through a full Lagos working day of continuous listening, but the case covers top-ups across the day. The case itself needs a socket or power bank to recharge, which is worth planning for given NEPA outages — a small power bank in your bag removes the problem.

There is no ANC figure to worry about here because these are open-ear buds without active noise cancellation; the noise cancellation Oraimo advertises is for calls, not for blocking sound around you. If your main need is to drown out a generator or bus noise, this is the wrong category of product.

Downsides and limits

The honest picture, based on the specifications and the buyer reviews:

  • Four hours per charge is modest. The 16-hour total depends on carrying the case and remembering to charge it.
  • Open-ear means you hear everything around you. That is the point of the design, but it also means less privacy and less immersion in loud places.
  • Touch controls and sound effects do not work during calls, per Oraimo's own note.
  • Some features need the app. Dual device connection has to be enabled through the oraimo sound app, so a buyer who never installs it will not get that feature.
  • Not a tested verdict. We have not used this unit; our assessment rests on Oraimo's numbers and two verified reviews.

One reviewer titled their feedback "Stylish and sleek, but not quite perfect" — they praised the design, size and quick pairing, but did not call it flawless. With only two reviews quoted on the store page, there is not enough buyer detail to say how the clip holds up over months of daily use.

What verified buyers say

Two verified buyer reviews are shown on Oraimo's store page for the OpenSnap N, against an overall 4.7/5 from 992 reviews.

  • "Masterpiece": the buyer says it is very comfortable to put on and that the sound quality is great.
  • "Stylish and sleek, but not quite perfect": this buyer reports fast delivery (ordered Thursday, arrived Tuesday), calls the design stunning, and likes that the case fits in the palm at roughly egg size. They found the earbuds sleek and not too bulky for extended wear, and pairing with an iPhone was seamless and quick. The title itself signals it is not perfect for them, though the visible text does not say which part fell short.

Neither review mentions battery life, call quality or the app, so there is no buyer evidence either way on those points.

Verdict

Buy it if you want open-ear earbuds for awareness — commuting, riding, working while staying reachable — and you value a light 4.7g clip-on fit over isolation. It is also a sensible pick if you take a lot of calls and want dual-device switching between a phone and a laptop, and if you are comfortable using the oraimo sound app to unlock that. At ₦27,900 it sits in the affordable band for open-ear designs.

Skip it if you need long single-charge battery (four hours per charge is the stated figure), if you want to block out noise around you, or if you would rather not depend on an app for features.
