From 19 October to 9 November, ABS Vendor is running the Spend & Earn Quest: ₦30,000 shared between the six people at the top of the leaderboard.

The idea is simple. You invite people, they buy things on ABS Vendor, and you collect points for it. Signing up earns you almost nothing. Buying earns you a lot, and the bigger the purchase, the more points it is worth.

How it works in four steps

  1. Join the quest. Open Quests in the app, or on your dashboard on the website, and tap Spend & Earn.
  2. Share your referral link with friends, family, customers and your WhatsApp contacts.
  3. They buy. Data, airtime, bills, electricity or any other service on ABS Vendor.
  4. You score. Points land on the leaderboard automatically. When the quest closes, the top six are paid.

What a purchase is worth

Every person you invite can earn you points on their first 3 qualifying purchases. How many points depends on the size of each purchase:

Purchase sizePoints you earn
₦200 and above6
₦1,000 and above25
₦3,000 and above110
₦10,000 and above130

There are two small extras on top: 1 point when someone you invited signs up and 1 point when they fund their wallet for the first time. People your invites bring in also earn you a few points on their purchases (2, 8, 37 or 43 depending on the size), one level down and no further.

The practical lesson: a friend who signs up and never buys is worth about 2 points. A friend who pays a ₦3,000 bill is worth 110. Invite people who actually spend money.

The prizes

PlacePrizePoints needed
1st₦12,000360
2nd₦6,500200
3rd₦4,500135
4th₦3,000100
5th₦2,500100
6th₦1,500100

Placing is not enough on its own. Every prize has a minimum score, and nobody is paid with fewer than 100 points. If the leader misses the bar for 1st, they step down to the best prize they qualify for. Ties go to whoever joined first. Prizes are paid to your ABS Vendor wallet after the quest closes.

A worked example

Ada joins on day one and shares her link. Five people sign up (5 points) and three of them fund their wallets (3 points). Two of them each buy ₦1,000 of data three times: six purchases at 25 points is 150. The third pays a ₦3,000 electricity bill once: 110.

Ada finishes the quest with 268 points. That is enough for a prize, though not for 1st, which needs 360. Had her two data buyers stopped after a single purchase each, she would have 168.

What counts and what does not

  • Join first, then invite. Only people who sign up after you join the quest score for you. Friends you invited before joining do not count.
  • Purchases under ₦200 earn nothing.
  • Each person earns you points on their first 3 qualifying purchases only. Further buying from the same person does not add to your score.
  • Only real wallet deposits count. Admin credits and quest payouts do not.
  • If a purchase is refunded, its points are removed automatically.
  • Referring yourself does not score.

Tips for climbing the board

  • Start with people who already buy data or airtime every month. They will make purchases without being persuaded.
  • Help a new friend make their first purchase. That is where most of the points come from.
  • Aim for a few ₦3,000+ buyers rather than many small ones: 110 points per purchase beats 6.
  • Check the leaderboard in the app to see where you stand and how far the next place is.

Ready? Open your dashboard, go to Quests and join Spend & Earn before you share your link. The quest closes on 9 November at 9pm. Quest points have no cash value and are used only to rank the leaderboard. Terms apply.
