What we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what you can do about it.
ABS Vendor is operated by ABS Real Digital Services Ltd, a company registered in Nigeria (RC 8025758), holding NCC Class Licence CL/S&I/0068/2026. We are the data controller for the personal data described here. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “ABS Vendor” mean that company. We handle personal data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA).
Information you give us: your name, username, email address, phone number, password (stored only in scrambled form), transaction PIN, the bank account details you save for withdrawals, referral codes, and anything you write to us through the contact form, WhatsApp or chat.
Information created when you use the service: your wallet balance and points, orders (what you bought, the amount, the phone number, meter number or exam candidate number it was bought for, when, and whether it was delivered or refunded), funding and withdrawal records, and the before-and-after balance on each transaction.
Identity verification information: if you verify your account, the BVN or NIN you submit, the result of the check, and a selfie if you use selfie verification. See section 6.
Technical information: device type, operating system, app version, browser, IP address, approximate location derived from it, push-notification token, and which page or advert brought you to us.
Sign-in with Google or Apple: if you use either, we receive the name and email address that service shares with us. We never receive your Google or Apple password.
Our legal bases are: performing our contract with you, meeting legal obligations, our legitimate interests in running and securing the service, and your consent where we ask for it.
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only as needed with:
Some of these providers are outside Nigeria. Where that happens, we take steps to make sure your data is still handled with appropriate protection.
Abi answers questions through the chat on our website and app. To reply, we send what you type, together with our own help content, to AI providers that generate the answer. This includes a provider that is based outside Nigeria.
If you are signed in, we also send a short summary of your account so that Abi can help with your actual situation: your wallet and points balance and your most recent orders, including the phone number each was sent to. We do not send your verification (KYC) status, BVN, NIN, password, PIN, email address or name to the AI.
Please do not type sensitive details into the chat, such as your BVN, NIN, card numbers, passwords or PIN. We will never ask you for them there. Abi is an automated assistant and can make mistakes; ask for a human whenever you want one.
We keep chat conversations so we can improve support and investigate complaints.
Higher account levels and withdrawals require us to verify your identity. When you submit a BVN or NIN (and, where used, a selfie), it is sent to a licensed verification provider to be matched against the official record. We store the outcome of the check and the details needed to show that we carried it out, and the ID number you submitted, so we can meet our legal obligations and prevent one identity being used for several accounts. We use this data for verification and compliance only. We never ask you to share it in chat, by email or over WhatsApp.
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your settings (such as dark mode), and understand how the service is used. We also use measurement tools from Google, Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and TikTok to learn which adverts lead to sign-ups and purchases. These tools may receive information such as the pages you visit and the fact that you created an account. You can limit them through your browser settings and the privacy controls of those platforms.
We keep your account data while your account is open. Transaction and verification records are kept for as long as financial-services and anti-money-laundering rules require, which can be several years after you stop using ABS Vendor. After that we delete or anonymise them.
We protect data with encrypted connections, hashed passwords, access limited to staff who need it, and monitoring for suspicious activity. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password, keep your PIN to yourself, and tell us immediately if you think someone else has access to your account.
Under the NDPA you can ask us to: give you a copy of your personal data; correct what is wrong; delete it where we have no legal reason to keep it; restrict or object to certain uses; and give it to you in a portable format. You can withdraw consent you previously gave, and opt out of marketing at any time using the unsubscribe link or by replying STOP, or by contacting us. You also have the right to complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
To use any of these rights, contact us using the details below. We may need to confirm your identity first.
ABS Vendor is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has given us personal data, tell us and we will delete it.
We may update this policy. When we make a significant change we will tell you in the app, on the website or by email, and we will change the date at the top.
