Airtel airtime converts to cash the same way MTN's does — three steps, a few minutes. Here is the current rate, the limit, and the process.

Today's Airtel rate

ABS Vendor is currently paying 83% of the airtime you convert — send ₦1,000 in airtime, receive ₦830 in your wallet. Agents get 86%.

A live rate, not a fixed one — check the airtime-to-cash page for today's figure before sending anything. Worth knowing: our Airtel rate currently trails what some competitors advertise — see the comparison linked below before you decide where to convert.

How to convert Airtel airtime to cash

  1. Open the airtime-to-cash page and pick Airtel.
  2. Enter the amount — between ₦1,000 and ₦20,000 per transfer, Airtel's higher ceiling versus MTN's.
  3. Send the transfer the way the page instructs.
  4. Your wallet credits once Airtel confirms — usually within a few minutes, up to 20 on a slow confirmation.

Withdraw to any Nigerian bank account, or spend the balance directly on data, airtime and electricity.

If it has not landed

  1. Check your transaction history before assuming it failed — a confirming transfer shows as pending.
  2. Confirm you used the transfer code, not a top-up or bundle purchase code.
  3. Check the confirmed amount matches what you entered on the page.
  4. Still stuck? Message us on WhatsApp with the time you sent it.

Is this safe?

ABS Vendor is operated by ABS Real Digital Services Ltd, a company registered in Nigeria (RC 8025758) and NCC-licensed for Sales and Installation of Terminal Equipment (CL/S&I/0068/2026). The rate you are shown is the rate you are paid, and every conversion leaves a receipt in your transaction history.

Questions people ask

Why is Airtel's limit higher than MTN's?
₦20,000 versus ₦10,000 per transfer — a provider-side ceiling on our end, not a network rule; both raise over time as routes prove themselves.

Is Airtel's rate always lower than MTN's here?
Not by design — both are live figures that move independently. Check both networks on the page before converting either.

Do agents get a better Airtel rate too?
Yes, 86% once verified, same as MTN's agent tier.
